Finally had the chance to read this English Classic. Written on the 18th c. WH narrates the saga of Heathcliff and Catherine, two children that grow together on sibling farms to live their very own Love Story — which is very strange for the contemporary reader.
As a Gothic symbol WH talks about an old era of Masters and servants isolated by Nature, family issues, Hate, Loss, Pain, Remorse, Death and specially Love that triumphs over Death. Personally I didn’t get connected to any character, except maybe Nelly (the maid) but it’s very interesting to follow the drama and see how things ended up. Definitely a Classic that needs to be praised.
