While Renzo searches for Lucia, the script introduces us to the subservience (and bravery!) of religious authorities, the striking inequality in a city surrounded by walls, the demand inflation generated by famine, and even the denialism awakened by the emergent outbreak of a Pandemic — a mindblowing contemporary issue.
