TLDR: I was hired by BK’s software company to rethink their complete User Experience, integrating three different systems and their features. I also had the happy chance to implement Burger King’s new visual identity into a real product — just as internal people were eager to see.
The problem: My challenge was to balance vivid branding with a heavy-content Information Architecture. As people spend most of their days with this tool, my results should not only display the new visual language but also expand it through responsive design.
Structure and visuals: As there were previous versions, I used them as my wireframes. Then, I sketched navigation options to gather all sections and departments into a single header and a mega menu. The overall design decisions provided the final tool and engaging ‘custom’ personality that pleased stakeholders and users alike.

The basis for a design system: As components are constantly being generated into the system, more flexibility can be added by allowing the smart color and image combination to be chosen by users to make BK Ops their own workplace.
